While still experiencing the black outs from Millburn Muir which is a Freeview Light transmitter I tried re-tuning out of curiosity and OMG I seem to have tuned in all the blackhill transmitter programs as I now have 148 tv channels instead of about 38 and they are all working perfect with one exception..... there are no HD channels, all the ones from 100-200 are missing. This is all very strange to me as I don't know the tech stuff regarding frequencies. Is there a way on my Humax box to switch between transmitters? Or is this the deal.... I either do without HD but get all the SD ones or if I want HD I need to go back to using Freeview light? I am sure on one of my early Humax boxes (DTR1000) I could switch between frequencies/transmitters but I don't see it on my more modern T2100 box.

Actually Chris I DID re-tune and because MM is down I picked up BLACKHILL and instead of 55 channels I now have 155 channels and my mrs is over the moon but the first thing I noticed is that the signal (at 78%) is not strong enough to pick up the HD channels and I really do like HD so what I done is this.
I have 2 x Humax boxes so I switched on the old one and I tuned that one to BLACKHILL and switched it off. On my latest Humax box I have left it until Wednesday (on Blackhill) and I will re-tune it to Millburn and now we have the best of both worlds! :) My latest Humax box the T2000 only has Auto tuning so I cannot manually tune anything on it. Did you remove my link to the article? No worries if it's a dodgy site but what it says has come true so far?

10 October 2025 - High pressure could affect reception across the UK this week
Freeview viewers across the UK could see some disruption to their TV reception from Friday the 10th to Wed the 15th of October 2025. This is due to high pressure which could disrupt the TV signals which Freeview uses.
You are advised not to retune your TV during this time - reception will be restored once the high pressure passes.
If you have an internet-connected Freeview Play TV, or one that has channel players available, you will still be able to watch live and on-demand content from the likes of BBC iPlayer, ITVX, Channel 4 or 5
Alternatively, you can watch Freeview via our mobile app which is available to download for free from your app store or on a web browser via our online TV Guide.
For more information visit our article on how to watch Freeview online.

This is the BEST thing that could possibly happen because it seems there is something wrong with the info on this site as well as whoever sets up the "tune the transmitter by the post code" thing because I now have ALL of the HD channels and when I checked the signal strength it said SIGNAL STRENGTH 98% / PICTURE QUALITY 100% so I can indeed use blackhill transmitter. When I first moved here 8 years ago (!!!!) my Humax box must have used the postcode here to tune my box and when I checked on here there is a map somewhere that when you zoom right in on it, it does indeed show that the side of the road I am on can only use Millburn Muir with it's Freeview light service, but obviously it's just not true. For 8 long years we have been putting up with this inferior service and all along we could have had 155 radio/TV Channels. Oh yes and I did also find my original messages I think it was yourself who linked to them thanks Chris. Anyway all's well that certainly ended well. I wonder how many people are like me and have been putting up with Millburn when they can have Blackhill? What if I need to retune at some point does it mean I can just use the postcode of my old flat in Bowling and it will fool my Humax into tuning in Blackhill?
