Crystal Palace (Greater London, England) Full Freeview transmitSaturday 30 April 2011 2:16PM
Staines
Hello, Postcode TW19 7RL. I am also affected by the sudden loss of signal quality on MUX 2 and MUX A - which overnight resulted in loss of these channels (well, extreme pixillation infact) on my Panasonic plasma TV (Freeview tuner), but thankfull not my Panasonic HD recorder's tuner.
Why has this been done without any warning?
I also purchased a Freeview HD recorder for the world cup, when it worked fine, but lost those HD channels altogether a week (?) after the cup. I note that Crystal Palace transmits HD at "below average". Is this all suddenly going to improve on the switchover next April? For now, is changing from a "digital-approved" to "top-of-the-range" aerial (mounted 25m up, on the roof) going to improve things before then? Your comments are sought.

I bought a Freeview HD box for the World Cup and it worked fine after an aerial upgrade. After the cup finished, so did the HD reception! I note that Crystal Palace HD transmissions are "below average". WHY? Will things improve after the changeover?
I can't help feeling I was fooled into buying HD well before its time...
