Below are all of Matt Clarke's postings, with the most recent are at the bottom of the page.Reigate is over 100 degrees off beam off hannington and also vertical polarisation. I get absolutely no picture whatsoever. Just a screen of the grey you normally get when the cable is unplugged.

Thanks for wonderful maps and data. As an SWL (Short wave listener), these are very useful for trying at DXing and testing out propagation.

The signal is now perfect! thanks for your help Brian. However, when Guildford's analogue goes back to normal, I bet I'll loose it.

Another region I will be able to pick up during SPoradic E. With a JBX21W on a 20ft guyed mast, I just about get a signal from Brigton. Yet another region to add to my collection.
Crystal Palace:London
Guildford:London
Hannington:South
Midhurst:South
Oxford:Central
etc

Even though Digital UK predicts a terrible forecast from Midhurst for me, I still get five out of the six MUXs perfectly and mux D variable.

Well it works now, and thanks to combiners I get signal from Crystal Palace, midurst and Guildford.
On a K/CD combiner, on the k side is an A+E combiner. On the A side is Crystal on the E is guildford. On the C/D side is Midhurst.
I am a radio ham, thus I like fiddling and complicating things.

It might work but try, if you can to get the best line of site that you can. There would be no harm in trying.

AT 45 degrees, you will get neither. Diagonal polarisation is also a polarisation in its own right. If you get a perfect signal right now, there is no need to make it vertical.
However, at switchover, if your signal begins to get filled with co-channel, I wuld suggest to move it to vertical.

I do not get channel 39 (BBC1) atall. If I move the tuner across, I get BBC1 from Guildford on ch40. But that is weak and grainy, since it is a different polarisation and around 80 degrees off beam. I have a JBX21W, thus there should not be any problems, especially since the other channels come out fine.
Thanks for your previous replies.
