Robert Dawson: your going to need an HD tuner,
HD ready does not mean your tv has HD tuner inside, can you give details of what make/model TV and DV Recorder ? i could look them up and see if they have HD tuner inside.

joan guyll: In the main "MENU" select "Settings"
and then "Language" in here you can disable "Audio Description" once "Enabled" exit the MENU
on the remote find the key below "OPT+" has a "Speaker" and "?" on same button press and toggle between the two audio settings "Audio Description" OR "English" this can be done on "Play back" as well as "Live"

I get HD Channels clear, signal 95 Quality 100, Has anyone else noticed only standard Audio ...Should be seeing Dolby D 2ch or 5ch depending which HD channel.
Can someone please confirm NO DOLBY on HD SANDY
