Well, the Digital UK Coverage Checker is wrong - there's nothing on Ch51 and the new services are most assuredly on Ch29!

To continue, the variation was approved on 18 July 2014 and the current technical plan for local digital TV services may be viewed at http://licensing.ofcom.or….pdf .

As Ofcom agreed to the change of frequency allocation in order to improve the coverage available to That's Oxford, it will be interesting to see whether the new service will be including more emphasis on news and events in OxfordSHIRE rather than in merely the city....

The end is near for analogue radio... Part 4, the local radio tSunday 23 November 2014 4:05PM

DAB has yet to make much market penetration into the in-car arena. Neither will most people be happy with a nasty little add-on box with trailing cables.
DAB car radio is not a fit/form/function replacement for analogue, because it uses totally different frequencies and will need a new antenna system, which (apart from tacky, stick-on windscreen antennae) could well be an expensive item to install.
Sorry, digital geeks, but £000s for a different radio and the potential of 'bubbling mud' isn't going to appeal to the majority.

Yes, the test transmission is from the LOX multiplex on UHF Ch 29 and appears on slot 8 of the EPG.
This must be very recent as it wasn't there a couple of days ago when I last checked.

It seems that the start date for That's Oxford has slipped yet again....
Originally it was supposed to be 'the first half of 2014'. Then it became 'Autumn 2014', then early Dec 2014, then 28 Jan 2015.....
Now I hear that it's been delayed by a further 2 months......??

Agreed - the BBC Radio 4 display on my (wretchedly inadequate) DAB radio shows '80kps Mono'.
Quite clearly this is NOT an adequate alternative to FM....

I think that there have been a few minor channel changes? Nothing significant though

At OX283SR (East Witney) my kitchen TV is showing 'poor' signal quality for both the current services (Pop and QVC Extra) on Ch29; however, the actual picture and sound quality seems fine..... Not that either service holds any interest for me, although the forthcoming local Oxfordshire service might.
MuxD/ArqB used to be on Ch29 from 2 Jan - 28 Sep 2011 and I received them without any problems, so I assume that the local service should generally be OK.
My TV isn't compatible with DVB-T2, so I've no idea whether COM7 and COM8 are fully up and running yet, although the TV reports their non-HD services as being 'incompatible'.
