Whilst I realise not everything is cut and dry. I have done the things you link to.
The tv is standalone and has no other rf devices connected to it.
I have a wideband aerial connected to a distribution amp in the loft. We do get electrical interference from road vehicles. But this has always been there. Without major rewiring and cost we cannot put the aerial on the roof.
I was reading on here that the Lichfield transmitter is directional to north and south?
I live south east it appears at le10.
Would a ferrite core thing help in anyway?
Thanks.

Hi Briantist,
By the way I tried a couple of ferrite's around our coax and appeared to make no difference whatsoever.
I remember when tuning in the tv I was picking up ch 33 from Waltham which we do not use (fringe area) and doing a manual scan on 34 from Lichfield for the HD channels.
I am wondering if 33 from Waltham is having an effect on 34 from Lichfield? with regards to the error rate and interferance.
Would there be anyway to block out 33 from Waltham?
Just for me of course :D
Thanks.

Hi
To anyone who has the knowledge,
We get what seems like really bad electrical interference.
We have a televes 'infinito' mounted in the attic (not possible to put on roof) feeding a televes distribution amp.
We have 3 TV's connected to the amp, all with satellite double screened coax. yet we still get electrical interference from appliances, the heavily used road outside and anything else.
My question is would a (MRD) Margin rising device attached to the aerial help in anyway. Are the MRD accessories significantly better than the standard accessory? Would this go some way to solve the problem?
Thank you for your time.

Hi again Briantist,
I live in Hinckley, Leicestershire and would like the radiation patterns for DAB please. Getting it here is a bit hit any miss so the patterns would help greatly.
thanks.

What's the reduced quality about, in the engineering?
Bit rate, resolution, power?

Hi Briantist,
I wonder if you can help me.
We live 18 miles from Lichfield and use this for analogue 5 and freeview hd.
I hear people have been having problems with hd.
On my Samsung TV it says signal 64% but the 'bit error rate' is at 2000 (which is the max) and so it does not display anything.
Is there any way to reduce the error rate?
Thanks for your time.
