thanks brianist , does this mean to have a hdmi device which allows distribution to a number of tv sets each to have a hdmi port, wonder how sky boxes will evolve when analogue is obsolete to allow remote switching of channels on a network
what is the possibility of a sky box allowing a digital signal via the rf2 connection which would allow a tv with freeview to decode the o/p from the sky box.

can anyone tell me how sky will be able to wire a digital o/p from a sky box to allow reception in another room instead of using rf2
