What seems abit strange is that ARQB is showing on my receivers as the strongest signal but with a slightly reduced quality. If you're in the same situation are you now receiving to much signal? Secondly is your aerial a wideband? As ARQB is currently at the top end of the channels the wrong band aerial might cause your problems.
As I say just thoughts, but I'm sure others will have more informed ideas.

Pete, I too had a Technika and ended up getting my money back as I was unhappy with the picture quality. I now have 2 Logik (Curry's/Dixon's own brand) LED TVs in the bedrooms and they have given excellent results

I live in the Chelmsofrd area and use Sudbury (Anglia) for my signal, however both my mother-in-law (who also lives in Chelmsford) and mother (Billericay) both use Crystal Palace. Both areas are on the 'outer edges' of the transmitter. I have now re-tuned all their sets and PVRs. In all cases I recieved all muxes with good/very good signal strengths being reported. This leads me to conclude that many of the problems being reported here do relate to excess signal and it is well worth experimenting with the suggestions outlined above

Dave Hughes, I too live in Chelmsford and use Sudbury and receive a good signal. Chelmsford is very localised as to which is the best transmitter. Which way does your aerial point as from Chelmsford Crystal Palace and Sudbury are almost in opposite directions. Might I suggest a manual tune to only select the required channels

Dave Lindsay/jb38: With the proposed increases in Freeview Mux's & channels is it not the case that, in the end, all aerials will need to be wideband?

Steve, look on your menus for the manual tune option. Crystal Palace is on channels 23,26,25,22,28 (plus HD is on ch30)

Steve, it may well be the case that there's now no need for an amp at all, bearing in mind that you also get a good signal from at indoor aerial. The other thought I had is your roof aerial still aimed at CP?

Just to confirm jb38's posting above. I've re-cabled all my runs in WF100 and the improvement exceeded my expectations. The signal loss is hardly noticeable over runs of 20m+. I did have the aluminium braid prior to this and would never go back. I purchased a drum of WF100 from 'a well known internet auction site' but it's worth shopping around as prices vary considerably. The only down side I've encountered is that it's a bit stiff so tight bends should be avoided.

A query, just out of interest.
I'm receiving all Mux's loud and clear (lucky me some may say!) However the signal strength and quality shows roughly the same across the board, even though some are transmitted with up to 100 times greater power than others. Do the freeview receivers have some kind of compensator built-in to allow for this difference?
