The Brierley Hill channel 53 multiplex is used for Freeview HD transmissions. Before the BBC3 switch-off five HD channels were broadcast, i.e BBC1-HD, BBC2-HD, ITV1-HD, Channel4-HD and BBC3-HD/CBBC-HD.
Is it the intention to use what was the BBC3-HD slice of channel 53 multiplex to transmit BBC4-HD?

Thanks for the information re Channel5-HD. I understand that Channel5 declined an earlier offer of a Freeview HD slot due to financial reasons so BBC3-HD was substituted.

We receive Freeview from the Brierley Hill transmitter that includes a single multiplex capable of transmitting up to five HD channels. After reading Brian's article regarding availability of Channel 5-HD I re-tuned and as expected the existing four channels - BBC1-HD, BBC2-HD, ITV-HD, Channel4-HD (following the demise of BBC3) have been augmented by the inclusion of Channel 5-HD.
To my knowledge, apart from the UKFree-TV articles, the availability of Channel5-HD has not been widely publicised probably leaving many people unaware of it's availability from sub-transmitters with a HD multiplex.

We feed several TV receivers from a single Freeview aerial via amplified spitters. At various times each receiver may be tuned to a different channel. If 4G interference results in a Freesat installation being required how will multi-channel reception continue to be provided?
