Are there any known problems at the moment with Arq B from Sudbury? My three Freeview receivers all report no signal from all the channels on this Mux. Arq A remains perfect.

I am in North Chelmsford.

I did a retune in November 2011 and all 5 Mux were working satisfactoraly, I don't have Freeview HD.

I cannot believe that my aerial will stop working on Ch63 over a period of six weeks without there being some noticeable degradation on the other Muxs.

Is there currently a problem with Freesat radio? I am receiving the signals via a Black Gold tuner in the PC and Media Centre under Windows 7. I have recently done a partial retune and all the "missing" radio channels are tuned to 11954, which Lyngsat and KingofSat report as an unused channel.

Following from Brian's answer of 7 December , we may have lost the Freesat red button HD but I can't find a red button SD. Has Freesat totally lost a red button facility?

I had five Pure Evoke 3s and they all failed within a few months of new and all were replaced. After the fifth one I swapped it for two Roberts radios and have had no more trouble several years later.

Like Stan I tend to stick with FM, at least then I can have all five radios on in the house while I move from room to room and the audio is in sync. Also I can listen to BBC local radio.

It is some years since I was last at Droitwich and things may have changed now that Arquiva owns all the radio and TV infrastructure but the long wave transmission had for many years been of more use for its data transmissions (from which the BBC received an income) than for the broadcast service - apart from the cricket in the days before digital transmissions.

In the longer term the LW problem will probably solve itself when the operator runs out of its supply of valves for the transmitter - Burghead and Westerglen are unlikely to be of much use on their own.

Sorry if this is posted in the wrong place but I have just been reading the latest post about retuning Freeview and some problems with the EPG.

I have just done the retune of Freeview and at the same time retuned the FreeSat. My system has a combined Freeview/FreeSat tuner so the two systems tend to get done together but I then have to do some editing of the combined EPG to avoid clashing channel numbers.

I now find that the Freeview channels have a correctly functioning EPG but most of the FreeSat channels say "data not available" and the few that do work only give programme information one hour ahead.

So my question is: From where does FreeSat get its programme information? It appears that during the FreeSat retune something to do with the EPG has been "lost" or not downloaded correctly but I don't really know where to start looking.

Sudbury (Suffolk, England) Full Freeview transmitter

Chelmsford

In response to the snail, I live in Chelmsford CM1 7DW and have checked this morning and can receive all Sudbury channels except 47 (I don't have Freeview HD). Some in Chelmsford receive Crystal Palace, some Sudbury and some both transmitters; it is very much a street by street situation and I don't know what snail should be watching as we are on the other side of Chelmsford 44m a.m.s.l. and with a good sight line to Sudbury
