Hi all - thanks (belated sorry) for the above comments -

Just an FYI since I appreciate the help here - Current situation is:

First - the multi-region issue went away not long after my previous post.
I am still seeing that odd radio channel/mux my boxes think is a TV channel.
No issue there though - just curiosity.

1 A few weeks ago power went up by 40% and this solved most breakup issues (see below)
it seems lack of power has been a big issue for a long time.

2 The humax crashing issue is caused by selecting certain channels when not connected
to a network. This is a hard fault/bug on all the boxes. (at least all mine) Plug the network in and it
stops crashing. (I never had that available before hence years of crashes.)

3 On freeview channel 236 there is a thin band of breakup about every 5 seconds and
that has been the case for months now - lasting about 1 second.

4 What I don't understand about (3) is simultaneously the same issue occurs on
freesat (216) GB news - and only this channel.

The freesat dish is on the other side of the house and obviously different frequencies.
As it points about 90ish degrees away from sutton and to the satellite I think its not local
interference. The sat receiver is built into an LG TV (2023 model TV)
As the LNB died a few months ago I installed a new dish and LNB which did not
cure this on freesat.

I was wondering if there was some link fed from the source that was common
to both - the noise does not appear on adverts broadcast on that channel (both services)
only on the program. (I seem to remember adverts originate elsewhere from channels but
I'm not certain of that)

Anyway - things are much calmer now -
cheers
jack
