TVs and boxes that do not support the 8k-mode

My81 year old sister has lost
channels
1, 3 and 5 on her lounge TV, and channels 2 and 4 are very misty. She has a
digital
recorder.
In the dining room she has bought a top box but has lost channels 3,4 and 5.
Could you explain where I go from here to
help
get them back for her.
