I presume it is because we need a new aerial. I understand that Freeview are providing them free for domestic customers. However, I live on a managed estate, where we share a communial aerial. The Property Manager has enquired and he has ascertained that it would not be provided free, so it will be chargeable against the estate. Depending on the cost, I expect residents to complain as they watch tv through their Sky dish.

I live in NW9 5LQ since the recent change I lost channels on COM7 and COM8. We share a communal area on the estate. The property management company arranged for a local engineer to come and check everything. He came back to the property and said they were all there now and retuned my television - to no avail. I had 158 channels before and after. Last night, I tried, what he didn't do, retune without the aerial and then retune with the aerial. That gave me 161 channels, but I notice missing was BBC News HD. This morning I tried the same process again, and ended up with 151 channels - duh ! (Tried this twice). No idea what is missing, but waiting for the engineer to report back to the property management company and will take it from there.

Mike P: Thanks for your comments. I will get in touch with the Management company to see what is happening. I don't know if he changed the aerial system. He certainly checked in my property and was surprised that I couldn't receive the signal.
My recorder does receive the stations, but it has never been able to receive a satisfactory HD signal, the picture just breaks up in 'Joseph's Multicoloured Dreamcoat' !

When we had the recent digital changeover I lost a number of stations. As we are in an estate which has a communal aerial the property management company had to get an engineer in to upgrade the system. I understand he put a new aerial in, but even after that some channels were still not available (including BBC News HD). He came back today, and I believe installed a 'booster'.
Now everything seems to have come back, except I have 'lost' the red button service on BBC News HD and London Live no longer seems to be there. The red button is working on BBC1 / 2 HD and also on BBC News SD.
What should I do? Is it worth retuning again (I fear I may loose some more channels!)
London Live was working after the first installation.
I live in NW9 5LQ

StevensOnln1: The channel is just not there! I remember once losing all my Red Button services, and it was a retune that brought them back !

Sorry I don't know how to manually tune . I view through a YouView box, and it just says 'scan' (or stop!).

StevensOnln1: anyone?! Any suggestions on how I can return my YouView box? I can reset it, but would that be likely to bring back a missing station or a red button?

anyone: The red button was working prior to the recent changes. Has this now been removed?

Can anybody tell me if the BBC Red Button service should be available on BBC News HD ( tv channel 107). I have been having reception difficulties since the June change. An aerial engineer fixed it so that I received the service, but not the red button. He told me that it is no longer available for that service (I receive the Red Button on BBC News SD).
