Chas.: So how did it happen that there wasn't sufficient capacity for future HD Channels included in the planning of the HD multiplexes? I note that the Stockton Hill transmitter has a similar problem, whereas most other regions have all. Does this mean that there is no capacity for future HD Channels?
If it was known at the planning stage what future Freeview HD services were to be broadcast in my area, the knowledge of this would have influenced my choice of equipment, having recently purchased a high end Freeview TV, PVR and Bluray recorder.
The content of BBC4 makes it my favourite Channel, including a good proportion of music, the enhanced uncompressed sound quality HD has over SD makes it more desirable to have this Channel in HD.
If anybody has details on what's happening regarding future HD channels and their availability from Huntshaw Cross inc ITV, Channel 4 and Five can you please post them.

When will BBC4 HD be broadcast from Huntshaw Cross? It is more than a tad disappointing that only 2 of the newly available HD channels are available in N Devon.
