Below are all of geoff's postings, with the most recent are at the bottom of the page.I'm near the top of West Hill, got line of sight to Whitehawk in the East, and a large aerial in the loft pointing in the right direction. Maybe picking up a reflection of Rowridge? I can't see a C24 xmitter to the East of me on the map...
Anyway, thanks Dave for the plug-back-in-half-way tip. I'll give it a try next week.

Note the FECs listed for COM4 and COM5 at the top of the page appear to differ from reality.
I can't tune these multiplexes with FEC 2/3, I can with 3/4.
I'm 2.4Km WNW of Whitehawk Hill with clear line of sight using a portable aerial, so it seems likely I'm getting the right transmitter.
Linux users may find the following useful for the scan utility from dvb-apps.

Martin, before you start changing hardware, please check that you're tuned to the channels that Whitehawk transmits, listed at the top of this page, eg BBC1 on C60 785.8MHz.
Your TV/PVR will have some way of displaying that, you need to find out how.
I'm 2Km west of Whitehawk, but I can still pick up a flaky signal from Rowridge despite my aerial pointing *away* from Rowridge, presumably some reflection of a tower block or similar.
You may find another set of stations in the 800 numbers on your receiver, which might be the C60 Whitehawk service. That's what happened to me.

Still receiving BBC1 on C24 498MHz, but a highly defective signal.
Finally found C60 listed in the 800s on a Humax 3100, signal quality 100%. Result.
Wouldn't have looked for C60 without reading this site, so thanks for the listings.
