23, 26 and 30 were tested at CP according to DS posters. BBC2 analogue and C5 (ex-Croydon) were not tested. There are more tests tonight. The tests were NOT run at full power, DS posters indicate the ERPs were at 50kW on the post DSO frequencies.

I think we will see a full six mux high power test tonight. It also appears some of the relays were radiating on post DSO frequencies.

RTE is going to be transmitted as a DVB-T2 signal, so current BT Vision boxes won't work in NI for the minimux service: you must have Freeview HD.

Comment: Works appear still to be going on. My analogue Hannington's are dismal compared to normal and I have checked the signals on a Fracarro Sigma with a 28dB variable gain amp AND a log periodic with a 12dB variable gain amp. Similar results: I think reduced power working is in operation. Stay tuned...

Briantist: Yes, first thing done. Its pretty obvious that there are problems when CCIR Grade 5.0 PAL goes to Grade 2.0 overnight at DSO. I note that others to the east are not receiving BBCA E45. Will keep you posted. I have multiple systems and multiple antenna systems. More later.

You are on the money. Here in NW London I have had super Hannington analogue for years, the two E41 and E44 muxes fairly reliably and the 'notched' PSB muxes only in lifts. Today the same story: dismal analogue, no BBCA mux and no low power muxes.
I wonder if this is going to be the first big DSO cockup...

Briantist: Yes, but that was an accident, rather than a true cockup. You made me smile however with your joke about the Member for Witney! It does seem that Hannington is having problems as there are widespread reports of analogue problems (and I am assuming that the analogues are transmitted from the new antenna system, per the mb21 web site photos) and people can't get BBCA. I have multiple systems and DVB-T2 autoretuning boxes: they are showing nothing from Hannington, just CP. Will keep you posted. BTW your site is a true public service.

Note these tests tomorrow and Thursday are likely to be full power post DSO tests on the new frequencies. You can't lock LCNs but if you have manual tuning you can see signal strengths and quality. They will probably test E23, E26 and E29. Interesting to see reports from nightowls.
