Below are all of Mike's postings, with the most recent are at the bottom of the page.As I mentioned just now, Talking Pictures should now be available to everyone after a retune.
The terrestrial transmitter I use is Stockland Hill, Devon.
What annoys me most of all is the lack of listings for the channe!. "What's On TV" & "TV Choice" will not list it because ( they say) it doesn't have the viewer numbers to list it!
Obviously Radio Times thinks it has, as it the only listings magazine which does think that two million viewers is enough!

MikeB: My Panasonic DVD recorder has an SD only function, and an SD EPG.
Talking Pictures TV is watchable and I have recorded to DVD films from Talking Pictures from the Stockland Hill Transmitter. It is no longer a requirement to have an HD TV., though it's hard to find a TV without that now.

Channel 4 HD has merely been removed from the Freesat Programme guide.
It is still free to air on satellite.
Merely go to your other, or "non-Freesat" channels to watch it!
Unfortunately, some of the makers of Freesat receivers don't like you storing "other" channels, particularly adult ones, so make it difficult. A new Humax box I had was one case in point, so I went back to using my Foxsat HDR, to store and record channels not on the Freesat EPG.

Yeah, as the BBC is just about the only ones to buy the Guardian, it's not hard to see why it published this nonsense.

After scrolling through a huge list, I find there is only one 2020 date. What's the point of putting a list going baback almost three years here?

About time. The BBC's arrogance & liberal-left attitude is well known. I am forced to pay for something I don't watch.

I have had not one single problem with my old Foxsatat HDR since I bought it some years ago.
I spotted another in a charity shop, and quickly bought it.t it just in case my new one broke down.
I DID buy an updated box, but it would not show me
Anything except FREESAT broadcasts, unlike the Foxsat, which
not only found all FTA stations, including adult but let me record them
That new box I bought ended up in the bin because it gave so much trouble with Freesat?
A noisy clicking remote was one irritation. Sky boxes have no problem, so why not Freesat
receivers! s work well, so why do much trouble with Freesat? This message box needs attention; it's all over the place.

A note for anyone that has lost their Scart Socket from New equipment.
There are Scart to HDMI & HDMI to Scart sockets available on. EBay.
Both need a power supply.

The big difference between GB News and the rest is thar it promises to be right of centre.
That shall be enough to have a huge audience potential.
I would expect it to expand, with more reporters and regional studios.
The comments about its place in the Freesat EPG ( 216) is alongside Sky News, the BBC., and
other news broadcasters, when the "News" option is
selected.
The Facebook & Twitter reaction to the station's start
of Broadcasting is overwhelmingly positive, with only
Communists and other leftists finding "reasons" for it to
fail, evidently because it won't be stuffed full of activists that
for far too long have controlled the media.

I assume that Talking Pictures TV is now generally available to everybody using Freeview?.
I have a Panasonic DVD recorder ( actual DVD burning, not hard drive)
It can only receive and record standard definition Freeview signals, with Talking Pictures clearly showing on the EPG., and I recorded a part of a film to a DVD-R.
