Oh. Having just said how good it was I tried a different postcode, PO36 9EG and it doesn't seem to work for that one! It shows where it is on the map but shows no transmitters at all. IN fact the signals from Rowridge are pretty strong there and you only need a little 6 element Yagi for digital.

New predicter seems to work great for my home location -- RG6 5TJ. However for my grandmothers house - PO36 9EG it goes all weird and won't tell me anything at all.

Where can I go for a straight forward list exactly what happens during switchover, in particular what frequency channels will carry digital from Hannington in between DSO1 and DSO2. I need this to use a manual rescan because the morons who designed the Freeview spec didn't even consider the possibility that some people might live in areas that receive signals from two transmitters.

Only 2 out of 5 multiplexes usable earlier tonight! Worst freeview reception for years!

Annie B: Are they sharing the same aerial? can you try swapping their positions temporarily to try and see if one aerial feed is bad or if one device is just less able to cope with the signals you are receiving? Perhaps it's better by now anyway now that the unusual weather conditions are more or less ended.

@Graeme de Preux
That aspect is definitely not progress and I don't think many people claim it is.
However the ability to have many more channels is progress.

@MikeP I think you'll find that while the design of the Internet protocols allows for routing around faults in practice there is a lot more than the last mile where no duplication is included and thus no routing around is possible.

Is COM7 working? I get fair reception of COM7 Crystal Palace off the back of the aerial and COM7 Hannington shows a higher signal quality but I can't see any programmes at all.

Is COM7 working?
I get usable reception of COM7 Crystal Palace off the back of the aerial but although COM7 Hannington shows a higher signal quality I can't see any programmes at all from Hannington.

Much better than your previous predictor.
Thank you.
Well done.
