On your 'TV regions overview map', Torosay transmitter is not shown in the correct location. It seems to be where Cow Hill is.

Well, the location of Torosay as supplied by the BBC is plain wrong or I am going mad. It's shown on my screen as at Fort William but that's where Cow Hill is. Torosay is about 30 miles south west of that on the Isle of Mull - opposite the town of Oban.

In fact, clicking on the underlined Torosay link in my previous posting takes you to a map showing the correct location (roughly), although it's actually closer towards Oban than shown.

Freeview reception at PH33 6SD
Clicking om the links on this page (transmitter name, signal strength etc.) doesn't do anything for me. Page doesn't show error, just 'done'.

I wonder how they work out the number of homes - guesstimate? The checker indicates I should get best reception from Onich (I don't). When I lived in Fort William,
Cow Hill reception was so bad I had to get Sky. Many in Fort William flats have aerials stuck out the window pointing at Torosay, which must be about 35 miles away, which underlines how bad Cow Hill reception is for some.

Or maybe it was to get digital channels, none of which were available from Cow Hill.

Are you currently served by one of the 1074 television transmitters in the UK that do ...
It might be my computer, but clicking on 'map of transmitters that will transmit only three multiplexes...'
gives me an error page.

So it won't be my dish alignment that prevents my getting C4 HD or the other channels on Astra 1N? I've set my Passion+ as advised in various places but can't get a channel, etheer C4 HD or the ITV channels.

Thanks all...
I got it after a factory reset but I'll remember the power search tip for the future. The pain with so many satellite channels is deleting the ones not wanted - hundreds of them. Am I alone in believing that a large proportion of these channels shuld really just be web sites now, and that freed capacity should be allocated to enable better quality on the channels that are not just 'special interest'?

Your description of Gaelic as 'gobbledegook' will be offensive to many.
