NTV can be received in Killyleagh (BT30 9GB), 20+miles away , with a moderate signal using a left aerial (in a 2nd floor apartment - not line-of-sight to Black Mountain).

CP re Ch51

I am in a 2nd floor flat in Killyleagh, not line of sight from Divis. Communal small-ish log-periodic in the loft. LG TV.

Ch51 shows sig strength of 70%, a bit variable but no pic drop outs or pixellation on any of the 10 TV channels (including BBC News HD and Smithsonian.
Ch60 is weaker at 50% but the picture is OK.
Ch33 is not shown on the main list, but has good signal strength. Carries only NvTv and a few Sony channels.

The Black Mountain RTE channels are listed at 2kW eirp, but it must have been upped a lot as I am now getting 100% signal strength, as with the PSB transmissions. Perhaps they have moved it to Divis?

It happens! <lol> I've found flyleads with centre conductor just pushed into the pin, unsoldered. You can get ones with a grubscrew but I prefer to solder them - guess iI'm old fashioned! That's the Belling Lee type, you can't of course solder the F type, where the conductor is the pin.
What antenna do you use? I'm asking because a friend lives a couple of miles from Divis, and gets poor reception with a set-top aerial.
What SDR dongle do you use?

nobody: Very good point!. The capacitive reactance (a few pF??) reactance may well be quite low at UHF, but I use flyleads for VHF and HF as well. Even unsoldered you'd probably get a good electrical connection,
but I think it is good practice, but I guess such ideas are also old-fashioned!

Aerial 8-element LP in the roofspace 15m AGL.

RTE (mux 33) appears to have increased its transmitter power recently to at least 100kW. It is giving 100% on
the signal strength bar, compared to 99% for BBCA (21) and B (27).

Anyone any idea how often the listings are updated?

Denis: I am referring to the Northern Ireland Minimux NIMM, listed as being from Black Mountain.
All other signals are from Divis, which is the same distance and within 2 degrees direction.

Here in Killyleagh I get signal strengths of:

100kW muxes 98% signal strength from the 100kW muxes
95% from the 50kW muxes (23, 26, 30)
74% from the (stated) 5kW mux (36)
78% from a 12.7kW mux (51)
54% from a 12.7kW mux (60)
The last two are about half the predicted values.

Divis Muxes.
LBT (NvTv) is listed as being on mux channel 30. I think this is a typo because Com6 is also listed as Mux 30.

LBT (TV chan 7) is actually on mux channel 36, which also hosts Sony (48), Sony Movies (50 and 60), and TinyTots (207), some of which are not listed.

Who can update these?

Thanks Chris.
Pity, as this site has such a lot of information - which I can't find elsewhere.
Freeview and DigitalUK have little information apart from a channel listing. Their Clearance Checker shows no changes until next year, I guess that's because the previous change date 4th Sept 2019 has passed.
