Check with a solicitor first but I suspect you have a case for damages. The wall belongs to you so it is illegal for them to attach anything to it without your prior permission, preferrably in writing.

Scott Glave:I would recommend you having a good quality log periodic aerial installed. That will cover all current and future (as far as can be determined for now) channels. Remember that there is no such thing as a 'digital aerial' as all UHF aerials can receive both analogue and digitally encoded signals equally well (it's just an excuse to charge more, I think).Indoor aerials never give a good experience, not even in the old analogue days. Digital signals can be more difficult with indoor aerials, so I'd advise going for a replacement outdoor aerial as suggested above.

Dave Lindsey and GeordieLad:PDC used 'spare' data space in the lines that were not normally displayed and some were used for teletext (Ceefax, Oracle or Teletext). So as the digital transmissions no longer have those spaces available for data there is no PDC in operation.
However, from a technical viewpoint, there is no obvious reason why such control data could not have been included with the digitised programme data. It seems it wasn't thought about at the time, so was not included with the specification. Perhaps Briantist has more information?

Peter WoolvetOn an HD multiplex, you is undesirable to have 100% signal strength as nost HD tuners don't like excessive signal. Looked for reference on this website for 'too much of a good thing'. You may need to reduce the signal strength for somewhere around 70-80% as long as the signal quality is as near 100% as possible. As good quality attenuator is probably helpful, how strong depends of how excessive your signal really is. They are quite cheap so consider buying 6dB, 12dB and 18dB as a good starting point.

Brian PorterIt is possible that the RF output from your Sky box is set to be within the band used for 4G. Can you check what the RF channel setting is and let us know please? Use the instructions at the top of this page to guide you. Any channel number from 60 upwards could have problems with 4G interference.

Bill:It is likely that there is a fault within the equipment used just for that channel, leaving all others unaffected.

Does your TV have an GHD tuner built in? COM7 and COM8 are transmitted using DVB-T2 encoding so an HD tuner is required to receive these if they are available in your area. The Bilsdale tranmitter serving your area does indeed broadcast COM7 and COM8, so a check that your TV has an HD tuner is wise. Do not assume that an 'HD Ready' TV has such as most earlier ones are not necessarily equipped with the required tuner. You can check by putting the full model number (usually on the back) into Google or similar.
