Dale, It must have beeb (still be) very frustrating for you that the local rag ignores your information.

Can I suggest you call someone's mobile and leave a message with all the information on their voicemail?

Pete. you're receiver is probably being swamped by signal from the new Relay at Rouncefall (PSB and HD muxes only).
You probably won't get the COM muxes back from Sudbury until 27 June 2012 - when they'll be increased to 100kW TX power too.

Remember that the temporary move of ArqB from UHF 50 to UHF 63 on 16-11-11 will also involve a doubling of its (very low) power from 1.1kW to 2.2kW.

That may make it available to more viewers but the shift up the band may also take it past the reception capabilitries of some aerials.

Dave Lindsay, and neither should Hollzjw (11:48am post above) have any problem being in the shadow of the masts!

But he has.

Reports of no/very poor reception of ArqB/UHF 63 from Sudbury appear to be coming from various locations within the expected reception area.

There've been reports from Sudbury itself, Clacton, Colchester, Southend (i.e. both near and far).

Is there anyone out there who can report no problems receiving the mux on its new channel?

If anyone can , please reply giving your location etc.

Can I suggest that all those affected fill in Channel 4's complaints form.

I too had trouble receiving ArqB after the 16-11-2011 change from UHF 50 to UHF 63. I was getting 50% signal but only 10% quality.

Annoyingly, I had Freecycled my amplifier after I found I could receive all 5 SD muxes perfectly following the 20-7-2011 changes - so I either had to buy a new one or wait for the 27-6-2012 power up of all 3 COM muxes to 100kW.

A £4.50 ebay purchase of a new Philex amplifier improved my UHF 63 reception so I'm now getting 90% signal and 70% Quality - no pixelation or sound pops at all.
