At around midday today, the signal on com4 dropped to quality = 94% and strength = 74%.

Hi Chris. Com4 and U&Dave went off again tonight at around 9pm. However, they came back on at around 9.30 with signal strength at about 90% but quality at 35-50%. Signal strength and quality have since gone back up to roughly what they were late last night and early this morning. I just wish I knew what was causing this dropout.

I am pretty certain I have solved my signal issue. The Coax connections on my signal booster had become a bit loose, (probably with messing about with it so much) so I have replaced it with a Labgear booster with screw in connections (20 from Amazon) and also bought a SLX 5G filter (11.50 from B & Q). I have the filter on the aerial side of the booster. The signal and quality figures are pretty much the same as the last ones I posted but although the signal quality on COM4 still drops on an evening, it drops to about 55% which is not enough to knock the picture off altogether.

Sorry to bother you again. TV still ok. Signal quality still drops on an evening to around 50 - 60% but still ok. However, after I did a retune last week. apart from the usual CH29, CH31, CH37, CH41, CH44 and CH47, I am picking up an intermittent signal on CH27, CH39 and CH43. The signal quality on these extra ones is only around 10 - 15% and I cant find any extra channels. Are these from Chatton or could they be from another transmitter? When I go into signal information on my TV, sometimes they are there and sometimes they are not.

Hi Chris, I did have issues again last night. COM4 went off again at around 9pm with no signal at all. U&Dave also went off and im pretty sure thats on COM5 (Could have been another factor affecting that one, such as weather or something). Came back on at around 10.15pm but signal on COM4 was around 85% strength and fluctuating between 35% and 55% quality. I fiddled with the filters and tried both the 5G filters in series on the booster input . By the time I had finished messing about with them at about 11.45pm, I had the following:
UHF 29 - Signal Quality = 100%, Strength = 90%
UHF 31 - Signal Quality = 100%, Strength = 92%
UHF 37 - Signal Quality = 100%, Strength = 92%
UHF 41 - Signal Quality = 100%, Strength = 96%
UHF 44 - Signal Quality = 100%, Strength = 96%
UHF 47 - Signal Quality = 100%, Strength = 95%
It was still showing these figures at 6AM this morning. I just wish I could get it to stay on in the evenings'.
