alan carson:
Do you have a roof mounted aerial, as loft/indoor aerials don't work well with Freeview? Also, how old is your aerial? If it is more than a few years old, it may be a group "A" aerial which is the wrong design for Sandy Heath digital TV services. If you can hang on until the 13th April and try to retune then, you should get the BBC channels if my asumption about your aerial type is correct. If I am correct, and going foward from 13th April, you will need to change your aerial for a wideband type to receive all of the other Freeview channels.
Hope this helps,
Adam

LutonFan makes a good point there. If your aerial points West, you are using the Dallington Park relay transmitter, in which case from the 13th April you will get a "Freeview Lite" service, that is to say you will get the main ITV and BBC channels, Channel4, Channel5 etc, but not all other digital channels. If it is Dallington Park you are receiving, no aerial change will be required. If your aerial points East, then it is Sandy Heath you are using, and again from 13th April you will get ITV, BBC, Channel4, Channel5 stations without an aerial change. If you find that you do not also get other Freeview channels (i.e. Yesterday, ITV4+1) from Sandy Heath, then you will need to upgrade to a wideband aerial to receive the full Freeview service.
Dallington Park will only ever carry the main channels.
Hope this helps,
Adam.

LutonFan:
I am guessing that the football team you support is Luton Town, although your location is given as Northampton. Why do you not support Northampton Town? Is it beacuse they are cobblers?
Just a thought!
Cheers,
Adam.

Brian, out of interest, why is MUX B not turned off at the first retune date, given that the new PSB1 mux carries everything that was on MUX B? MUX B is now just a subset of PSB1 that doesn't need to be there.
Cheers,
Adam.

The Wrekin B (Telford and Wrekin, England) There are no longer Thursday 21 April 2011 3:54PM

BJ: Some changes are being made at The Wrekin on 28th September this year. After that date, you should be able to get a perfect signal on all six mux's.
Hope this helps,
Adam.

Griff, I'm with you on this one. By the way, if the Yesterday channel had a +1 version, when you watched it would you be going backwards or forwards in time?
Cheers,
Adam.

Steve: Kings Weston is the best transmitter for you. However, because you are so close, maybe the signal is too strong and is swamping your receiver. Remove any boosters etc that you may have in your system. If there are no boosters, etc, try a variable attenuator, or another approach is to try an indoor aerial to see if this will get a signal for you.
Hope this helps,
Adam.

Chris: Swap the Humax and the old freeview box over. If the old freeview box works on your main TV, the chances are that the recorder is faulty. If it does not work properly, then one must assume that there is something wrong with your new installation, and you should contact the installer to come and rectify the problem.
Hope this helps,
Adam.
