Advice from Humax was to do a default reset instead of just clearing programme list, then re-tune. After that channel 42 re-appeared. Guess the software just did not like the number "42". Maybe the software programmer was a fan of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy!

For the past couple of weeks I have had no reception of programmes on Tacolneston channel 42 on two older Humax receivers, a TV and PVR. Both stopped receiving channel 42 at the same time. All other receivers in the house receive channel 42 perfectly. I have tried a Humax 9200 PVR and a Humax 8000 PVR side by side using the same aerial. The 9200 receives channel 42, the 8000 does not. They both give signal strength around 85%, but the 9200 has 100% data quality, the 8000, 0% data quality. A retune apparently finds all the missing programmes, but selecting one gives a "No Signal" error My guess is there has been a small change in the transmission standard on channel 42, which the older Humax software cannot cope with. Does anyone know if this is so?
