Mike,
Aerial is on the roof,[Wideband 52 element array with Wolesey masthead amp]
No I was never able to get ITV West on analogue before switchover ,signal level being to low.
You say ITV West mini-mux is aimed into the Cheltenham and Gloucester areas and its radiation pattern is different from the other muxs ,will as you say its increase in power in October resolve the situation?
What is the radiation pattern?
Regards
Andrew Harris.

Brian,
Is there any logical reason why I can only get ITV 1 West after 10.30 pm and not during daylight hours? Postcode is BS32 4DL.Otherwise I am stuck with Central news or LONDON News on the HD ITV Channel. Will boosting the power on 12th October to 15kw make any difference to my reception, any thoughts?

I can,t believe it!
I Switched on the TV on 20th October and lo and behold I could watch my local regional news ITV West, for the first time after 25 years of waiting since moving to Almondsbury near Bristol
Now it would be great to get BBC West as well, perhaps in another 25 years?

Why are so many people in favour of switching off AM transmitters? To do so would mean I would be unable to recieve my local BBC radio station [ BBC Radio Bristol] from my location due to local topography unable to get that station on FM or DAB ,only able to get Welsh staions
