True Entertainment (until noon today on channel 61) is now supposed to have moved to channel 48. My TV however has now lost channel 61 but cannot see channel 48. Is this a national or a Huntshaw problem?

Sarah Lower: True Entertainment and True Movies have moved to the local TV multiplex, so if you can receive one of the local TV channels on 7 or 8 then you should be able to get the channels back by retuning.

We've been enjoying shows on True Entertainment for several years but this week it showed a message saying we should retune the tv to keep watching. So we did that and now all the True channels have disappeared, along with some HD channels, For es TV and PBS.
We live in SE Cornwall and our signal comes from the Caradon Hill transmitter. Is it true that this is an obsolete transmitter which can no longer show all the channels that everyone else in the UK can receive?
And if that is the case, to whom can I complain to get it upgraded?
Thanks for any help you can give me.
Sharon

Sharon L: As per my post above yours, True Entertainment and True Movies have moved to the local TV mux which is not broadcast anywhere in Cornwall. Caradon Hill is not an obsolete transmitter, it is a main transmitting station covering large areas of Devon and Cornwall. The only multiplexes which have been removed are the temporary COM7 & COM8 services, which were previously available from 30 main transmitters covering around 75% of UK households, this will reduce by early next year to 25 transmitters before closing completely in a couple of years or so. Caradon Hill still broadcasts the main 6 multiplexes (PSB1/2/3 and COM4/5/6) which are available to 90% of UK households and will continue to do so for many years to come. You can complain to Ofcom, the broadcasters or whomever you like but there won't be any further multiplexes added to any main transmitter.

Alan Wheeler: As per my other recent comments on this page, True Entertainment and True Movies have move to the local TV multiplex and are now only available in areas that can receive a local TV station on either channel 7 or 8.
