How to Watch: Showcase 3

Below is a list of all the television and radio channels that you can watch in the UK using one of the free services: DAB (for radio), Freeview, Sky No Card - Sky without a viewing card (Freesat from Sky (or fSfS)) and Freesat.. Where a channel can be watched for free, the channel number is listed below. In addition, if you can watch (or listen) immediately online, press the button in the "web" column.

As some channels are exclusive to one service alone, you may need to get receive more than one service to get all the channels you want. The coverage for Freeview differs too - those channels not provided by the public service "Freeview Light" transmitters the current coverage shown thus (54%), taken from Connected Nations Report 2017: Data analysis'

On United Fans TV Monday 10/10/2011 the opening Music was so loud and the commetators voice so quiet and low that I could hardly hear a word he said.
Did anyone review the programme before it went out?

I would like to purchase the film 'Metropolis' that you show on Showcase 2. Same vision and same soundtrack.

I have found dvd's but all are re-mastered and have a different soundtrack.

I use /recorder on and watch on CVT TV. Suddenly box froze and came up with"SHOWCSE2" even though I have never watched the channel. Any idea how to cancel showcase 2 and get back all the other ?

My recent post did not include the fact that the Samsung box no longer talks to the TV and I cannot get any or sound, tried on my other CRT and worked until tuned off the box and then same problem now when switched back on. Connected old box and both Tv's still fine, So what has Showcase done?

L Turner: What happens if you disconnect the box from the supply for 30 seconds or so before powering it up again? as re booting any device usually rectifies an operating system crash.

By the way, if not already doing so use a coupling between the Samsung and the TV.

jb38: The box switches on and lights up with SHOWCSE2. Cannot switch programmes manually or remotely. TV not show sound or . TV however responds with old box which I had hoped I had replaced with newer samsung box

L Turner: If the symptoms described are as the result of the box having been rebooted then I am afraid to say that this does not look too promising, as in virtually 99% of cases rebooting generally clears glitches in the operating system, the fact of it not doing in your particular case suggesting the possibility that the problem is being caused by a circuitry fault rather than one associated with the operating system.

However, I would like if you could clarify on the following point, when you say that the box lights up with Showcase 2 being seen is referring to that seen on the boxes display? and if so have you made sure that the TV's "input select" is set on the input socket you are using to feed the of the Samsung into?

It would also be of assistance to know the model number of the Samsung in question.

I am trying to watch the londons new year parade.

I wanted to see the bands not listen to people prattle on.

It's over half an hour and havn't seen a band yet.

You could have saved money by showing the bands marching and not your unknown people talking about inane things without showing the parade, should be called boring people talking about the parade as there is no parade being shown.

What a waste of time.

I absolutely agree with you.One hour into the programme and at last we get to hear the music. I continue to watch for the comedic effect. For example a presenter telling me that behind them I can see The Borough of Hillingdon - alas because of her positioning and her large umbrella I cannot!!

The keep going to different presenters who are telling us who has just passed them....helpful to the viewer. This is without doubt the poorest transmission of a live event I have ever seen.

The keeps blanking out and we have been told that we can watch it again on Saturday and Sunday....LOL
