From Wikipedia: The channel had been available from launch on UPC Ireland, but was pulled on 22 March 2006. The channel had already been and remains available to Irish viewers on free-to-air satellite for some time, however it has not been listed in the Sky electronic programme guide since its removal on 25 January 2006. ITV3 took its channel number and bandwidth meaning all platforms could be launched simultaneously. - en.wikipedia.org read more about ITV3 +1 on wikipedia (summary by Clipped).

Why have you stopped showing programmes on itv3+1 until 9pm ? I have been watching heartbeat and murder she wrote every day for the last few months as I don't like other stations and also cannot watch them earlier. I am now having to sit without television until 9 pm when there might be something watchable on . Not happy !!!

I agree with Lorraine. It is very annoying not to be able to watch itv3 plus 1. Will it be coming back?

Lorraine Birkhead & Pauline Donaldson: ITV3 +1 shares broadcast capacity with CITV channel on Freeview. ITV announced earlier this week that CITV channel's broadcast hours would be extended until 9pm on Freeview, therefore ITV3 +1 is now unable to start until 9pm. Suggest you consider getting a PVR or watching on catchup if you are unable to watch your favourite shows at the time they are broadcast. See the link below for full info on the changes:

I tried to get ITV plus one this evening but a black and white screen came up saying it wouldn't start until 9.00. No warning of explanation. Radio Times clearly says starts at normal time. Get in back tomorrow.

Mark: ITV3 +1 now starts at 9pm on Freeview as the broadcast capacity is shared with the CITV channel which has extended it's hours to finish at 9pm (see article linked in my post above yours).

Please find a way of bringing back early evening itv3+. Having it now run from 9pm t midnight only allows one entire show, followed by the disappointment of the next one stopping half way through. Seriously, someone needs to engage some sense when planning channels.

Patricia Rees: CITV already had it's broadcast hours extended on satellite some time ago, so this change has simply brought CITV on Freeview into line with the satellite version. ITV's bosses presumably feel that extending the hours of their childrens channel is more important than ITV3's timeshift channel. They are also dedicating daytime hours on ITVBe to programs for preschool children.

well stevenonlin1 if I wanted to watch children's channels till 9pm at night i'd Obviously have satalight, but I don't want to pay for a load of rubbish, so I chose freeview, if you like watching children's programs till 9pm you must be a child

Patricia Rees : I don't watch any childrens programs as I don't have any children and it's been many years since I was in the target age group for any childrens channels. Your response to my factual statement highlighting the reason behind the recent change seems to be aimed as more of a personal insult which is completely inappropriate for this independent website, which is aimed at providing technical help with TV and radio reception problems. If you want to make your feelings know to the people responsible for the changes then I would suggest that you contact ITV as it's unlikely that they will read anything posted here.
