From Wikipedia: The ITV1 brand was introduced by Carlton and Granada in 2001, alongside the regional identities of their eleven regional companies. However in line with other terrestrial channels, ITV1's audience share has fallen in the era of multi-channel television. ITV existed in a region-heavy form from its inception to the 2000s, although the switch was gradual. - en.wikipedia.org read more about ITV1 +1 on wikipedia (summary by Clipped).

Checking the Oxford transmitter, I see that you show it as transmitting Central (West) on ITV1 + 1. Are you sure? Watching ITV1+1 on Friday night, I saw the Southeastern edition of Meridian Tonight (ITV1 showed the southern edition).

The obligatory embarassing typographical error is at the top of the page.
"ITV +1 is a commerical-break funded"
And would it not be better to say financed rather than funded?
Funding is usual associated with sponsors of public non-commercial programs, eg the often heard
"funding in part from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting"

According to Lyngsat (reported on 2013-02-18) there are separate versions of ITV +1 for Wales and WestCountry/West from
SES Astra 2F at 28.2° East
transponder 63 on 11,053 GHz SR 22000 FEC 5/6
ITV Wales +1 SID: 20715 VPID: 2311 APID: 2312 (English)
ITV WestCountry West +1 SID: 20745 VPID: 2317 APID: 2318 (English)
So are Mendip and Wenvoe transmitters now carrying different regional versions of ITV+1 as appropriate to Wales and West+Westcountry?

Corin: It's not an error. "Funded" is correct.
In the UK broadcasters finance their own programmes (or have finance arranged from a bank loan or overdraft or something similar).
The programmes broadcast with spot-adverts, which are payed for at the end of the invoice period.
Therefore the programmes on the channel, and the channel itself is funded by spot-ads.

Corin: From memory, whoever's updating Lyngsat these days was getting mixed up over the names.
The service from Bristol - was ITV West - now ITV West Country (East)
The service from Plymouth - was ITV WestCountry - now ITV West Country (West)

Briantist: For a year or so ago, I used to watch TV using Sky decoder, the subscription of which I have already cancelled.
These past months or so, I cannot watch or open any channel at all. My question is: Has Sky found a way of stopping people using their decoder to watch TV without paying them? Or is it that I just need to adjust my settings.
Thanks,
Rod

Briatist "Corin: It's not an error. "Funded" is correct."
I did not write that funded" was an error but suggested that it may not be the best word to use.
Regardless, spelling "commercial" as "commerical" **is** an error as I did state, but for whatever reason you have ignored that fact.

"From memory, whoever's updating Lyngsat these days was getting mixed up over the names."
Thanks for the explanation on the names used by ITV Broadcasting Limited for the Channel 3 services.
However, my question
"So are Mendip and Wenvoe transmitters now carrying different regional versions of ITV+1 as appropriate to Wales and West+Westcountry?"
still remains unanswered.
