Stephen nixon: Forces TV is not broadcast from the Sudbury transmitter. If you provide a full postcode we can see whether you might be able to receive it from another transmitter.

John: Forces TV is on the COM8 multiplex, which is not broadcast from the Nottingham transmitter. If you provide a full postcode we can check whether you might be able to receive it from another transmitter, as Nottingham has a lot of overlapping coverage with the Waltham transmitter, which does broadcast COM8.

John: It was announced yesterday that Forces TV will move to COM7 on 22nd June, with COM8 closing by the end of this month. You are predicted to be able to receive COM7 & COM8 from either Sutton Coldfield or Waltham at your postcode. To receive it, your TV or set top box/PVR needs to be DVB-T2 capable (i.e. able to receive the HD channels on 101-105) and your aerial needs to be horizontal (i.e. the little rods going side to side) and pointing at a compass baring of 125 degrees for Waltham (Central East regional news) or 220 degrees for Sutton Coldfield (Central West regional news). If you have an older grouped aerial, it may need to be replaced with a wideband type.

John:

If your aerial is pointing at the Nottingham transmitter (ideally a Group K aerial although Group T or Wideband will do) it will be pointing at bearing 161 degrees (that's ~ fractionally S of SSE) with the rods vertical, hence no COMs 7&8.
According to the Freeview Detailed Coverage checker you can get good reception from several transmitters.
Waltham (Central East region) is one of them which also broadcasts the Local Nottingham multiplex, Sutton Coldfield is another (Central West region) but not predicted to receive ANY local Multiplex, and only some multiplexes from Belmont (so not recommended).
Assuming you want Central East region, if indeed your aerial is already pointing at Waltham bearing 125 degrees (slightly E of SE) with the rods horizontal, if it happens to be an old Group A aerial then this is not going to receive COMs 7&8 on UHF channels 55 & 56, for which you require a Group T/Wideband.

HOWEVER, it's just been announced at short notice that COM8 is going to close on the 22nd June see 22 Jun 2020 - Important channel broadcast changes | Freeview
Already quite a few people are very annoyed about this as the 700MHz frequencies still haven't been cleared due to the covid-19 situation, nor (consequently have the frequencies been auctioned yet) and it would be AT LEAST a year before MNOs that bought the frequencies may contemplate using them.
In the meanwhile, it's predicted that Forces TV will move to COM7 so unless that's not correct and it moves to COM 5 or 6, you are in the same boat.
In view of this closure of COM8 (some of use think that it's a commercial decision by Arqiva) we've no idea how long COM7 may last. So unless you are contemplating moving/changing your own aerial you may want to wait until at least the 22nd June to see what happens with the changes.

vera wilson: If you can currently receive BBC News HD on 107 then you should be able to continue receiving Forces TV by retuning on 22nd June.
