Garry Muir: Retuning again and again will not give you any different result than retuning the first time. Please provide a full postcode so that we can see which transmitters are available at your location, where you are in relation to them and your predicted signal strength etc.

Garry Muir: two guesss:

a) the transmitter does not carry that channel

b) you might need an HD tuner to pick it up

Why does the Forces TV signal start to break up after 7.00pm making subsequent programmes unwatchable?

Laurie Walshe:

You need to check what your signal strengths are and to check all your aerial cables and connections. Strengths should be between 50% and 85% for SD services and between 60% and 85% for HD services. Anything less or more will cause the breakup you report.

Paul: Can your BT Vision box and your neighbour's TV receive the HD channels? Forces TV is broadcast on the COM8 multiplex which needs a DVB-T2 capable TV or box to receive it (most compatible TVs and set top boxes/PVRs will have the Freeview HD logo on them somewhere).

I live in Chichester and use the Rowridge transmitter, forces tv channel 96 is on the TV guide but I get no signal at all. Other channels are at 96% Signal.. is it a transmitter problem or are they just not transmitting this channel.

Peter Ebling: Forces TV is being transmitter from Rowridge but probably at a strength either too low to receive or too high causing the tuner to become overloaded. What signal strength and quality readings do you get on Forces TV? Please provide a full postcode so that we can see where you are in relation to the transmitter and your predicted signal strength etc.

Peter Ebling:

Further to that said by StevensOnLn1, 96% is far too strong, 60-85% is ideal. It could be that your TV is being overloaded with signal so search this website for "too much of a good thing" for advice on solving that.
