Over the recent weeks Film 4 has had a banner pointing out that to continue getting the service you must return. In the electronic listings it states channel 15 for Film 4 but I can no longer record the films on 15 WHY?????

B Bibby: The point is, have you as yet carried out an auto-tune? because if you haven't then although Film4 will be seen on 15 it will not be from the correct transmitter hence why you cannot record it, Film4 having moved to the PSB2 transmitter as used by ITV1.
By the way, rather than carry out a standard auto-tune its always the best to carry out a "first time installation" procedure.

Hi. I have had Freeview access to Film 4 on Channel 15 until now (I have previously seen the messages about this before the end of August; no problem), But my desk Samsung (Freeview) TV is now showing no signal on Channel 15 apart from the message: "Film4 has moved. If you can see this message at channel 15 please retune your Freeview equipment". I have re-tuned the TV DV tuner three times without any success (I do have Film4+1 on C45 though!). Can anyone advise, please?

TonyM: If you have already retuned both of your TV's and which on most devices is generally suffice, however on some it isn't and they require a "first time installation" to be carried out rather than a standard auto-tune in order to resolve this problem, first time installation dependant on brand also being known as "factory reset" - "default setting" or some other similar sounding term.
Film4 moved from COM6 to PSB2 the same mux transmitter as used by ITV1, and if anyone witnesses the retune message whilst on 15 then this is and indication that the device receiving it has not been retuned correctly as this message is only transmitted on Film4's original location and not its updated one.

I live in Bournemouth (BH1). Film Four recently moved. I have retuned both my TVs. The new one now gets Film Four, but the older one (6 years old) doesn't get Film Four any more. What should I do?
