john gray: The fact of you having previously viewed this programme means that your aerial is either pointing towards Sandy Heath or Crystal Palace, and not your local Luton multiplex which does not have COM6 or COM7, CBS Drama having been moved onto COM7 HD from COM6.
As far as an HD TV is concerned, if you are able to view 101/102 etc then you do indeed have a full HD receiver and not an HD ready type which is only SD. If that said applies, then the problem could be that you are not actually receiving COM7 (also unable to view Talking Pictures 81) as COM7 is much lower powered than that of COM6, i.e: Sandy COM6 170Kw / COM7 49.5Kw - Crystal Palace COM6 200Kw / COM7 43Kw.
Further advice dependant on findings.

j dakin : CBS Drama was moved from the SD (standard definition) COM6 transmitter onto COM7 which is HD.
As reception from Emley Moor's COM7 transmitter is indicated as being excellent in your area, the most likely reason for your problem is that your TV is of the "HD ready" variety and not full HD, the former being fitted with a standard DVB-T tuner and not DVB-T2 which is necessary to receive HD transmissions.
A good test being if you are able to view EPG57 Viva, or EPG81 Talking Pictures?, both programmes "only" viewable via a DVB-T2 HD tuner.

What's happened to CBS Drama on Freeview in the London area? I can't find it at all even after retuning. Please can you explain what's going on?

Simon Balfre: CBS Drama was moved onto the COM7 HD transmitter from having previously been carried on the standard definition multiplex called COM6. If you receive Freeview from the Crystal Palace transmitter and yet are unable to view EPG71, then your TV is likely to be of the the "HD ready" variety and not a "full HD" spec device fitted with DVB-T2 tuner, this type of tuner being necessary to view HD transmissions.
An easy way to test if your receiver is of the full HD variety or not is by trying to view (101) BBC HD, if you are unable to? then your TV is of the HD ready variety, likewise not fitted with an HD tuner.

I have an HD ready TV, so when my two most watched channels went to HD #108 and 71 (COM7), I got hold of an usb DVB-T2 tuner to at least be able to watch these two channels on the computer. However, whether I lift all regions or just Waltham/Nottingham (I live in Nottingham), #108 doesn't show up, but it appears as thought #71 is playing but no video. If someone is going to suggest getting a Freeview HD set top box cheaply, please advise if there is one that is DVB-T2, and dual HD, so I can watch and record simultaneously.

Rekha Sharma: Pretty much all modern PVR's are HD with twin tuners - Humax or panasonic would be my recommendations. 130-250 would be the price range, with about 180 being average. These will often now have wifi and are of course smart.
I'm on Waltham, and I'm certainly getting 108 and CBS Drama, so check your signal strength.
