Barry Gray: The Sheffield transmitter only reaches some parts of Chesterfield, please provide a full postcode which will allow us to access the coverage prediction for your exact location. Also, how many HD channels do you have on channels 101 and above?

MIKE CROSS: Kilvey Hill has transmitter HD channels for several years. I assume you're asking about the HD channels on the COM7 & COM8 multiplexes, in which case the answer is not in the next few years as COM7 & COM8 are temporary services transmitted from 30 main transmitters covering around 75% of UK households and will not be expanded to any additional transmitters. No announcements have been made regarding what will happen with the additional channels carried on these multiplexes when they close (expected to be some time around 2020-2022).

I have a Samsung UE40H7000 Full HD TV. My post code is GU9 9RN and I am currently using the Crystal Palace transmitter. Since re-tuneing after 21st March I have been missing a number of channels eg 86-99, 106-200, in particular Freesports Ch 95 and BT Showcase Ch 115 are now missing. I have undertaken a re-tune a number of times including full reset and aerial out and re-tune (to clear the memory). All to no avail, could it be that I need a wide-band aerial, if so should I contact the Freeview helpline?
Thank you

Gerry Wright: You most likely have a Group A aerial which isn't designed to receive the higher frequencies now used for COM7 & COM8 at Crystal Palace. If you don't have satellite or cable you may be eligible to have a replacement wideband aerial fitted free of charge, so contacting the Freeview Advice Line would be a sensible step to take (see link below).
