simon: The only card you can use with a Sky+ box is one from Sky, and you need, as you had before, a "basic" subscription package to add Sky Sports to.

s taylor: Your Sky contract also included allowing you access to the recording features of your Sky+ box along with your ability to view package channels, when you cancelled the contract Sky removed the access codes necessary to enable these features to operate.
If you wish to retain the ability to record / playback then you can take out a contract with Sky purely for that purpose for around £10.25 per month, many choosing not to do and purchasing a Freesat twin tuner recorder as the dish is compatible with both systems.
