How can I get Channel 5 on Sky in Ireland?
Brian Butterworth published on UK Free TV You can watch Channel 5 (plus 5USA, 5* and the +1s) by manually adding the channel, as it is broadcast free-to-air.
Use the following settings:
Frequency: 10773 10964
Polarisation: Horizontal
Symbol rate (Mbaud): 22.0

pat:go to set up the frequency is 10.964 and then H and then 22 and then 5/6 then save channels with yellow button then press selct the added channels will then go to other channels in other or services.That will give you channel 5,channel 5 usa,5*,etc,etc.

Lost channel 5 on standard sd sky
Shows the epg of channel 5 + all the additional 5 channels but it just says no signal being recieved.
Try to tune in using newer freq in add channels but can't find anything. Large 1 metre dish
All others channels are ok
Am I too south ?

Malaga is way south of the coverage of the spot beam carrying C5, etc. However the signal does not 'cut off' abruptly as you move outside the intended coverage area so a larger dish can help, as you found with your 1m dish.
It is possible that the dish alignment may have changed and could be checked but that is likely to have affected all other services as well. It may be worth checking the LNB and dish are clean and free from detritus.

Just thought other might like to know ....
I lost Sky Channel 5 and some others and a few months back - thought it was because of satellite change to Astra 2F. So I did nothing till recently. Then my Skybox packed up and I phoned Sky. Downloaded a new level of software and they have magically come back!
That's not to say that the info about Astra 2F is wrong, just that for me there was another reason.

hi, im trying to get chn 5 on my sky hd box, ,in my other channels folder it is there but when i select it i only get a blue screen and the bottom display sayin searching for listings..... dome of the other channels in my "other chanel" folder do work, but most dont,
any ideas why?
