I want to leave sky, and I am planning on getting a freeview TV. Will i be able to get freeview via the satellite dish if I don't get it via the aerial in my area?

You will get some channels but not the full freeview channels. Best idea is to buy a Freesat box from Argos circa £30 just plug in your sky cable and get everything.

Bob: You can't use a Freeview box in Spain for UK television, do you mean a Freesat box?

When you leave sky and simply pickup the FREE channels are you still able to pause and record them?

Griff: No. You must replace the Sky+ box with a Freesat+ or Freesat+HD box if you want to play/pause/record.
