Hi, can anyone help? We have a TV with built in freeview, and about 2 weeks we just lost loads of channels, we have re-tuned it several times but it makes no difference. we get BBC channels but not ITV and several freeview channels are also missing. We've checked the aerial and it seems fine, could it be the TV itself? Any advice very welcome, thanks...

Kathryn: Without giving your location (and possibly the transmitter you are using) it is impossible to even suggest an answer to such a question.

There engineering works at some transmitters which have resulted in poor or lost channels for some people. I know that Tacolneston is such a station.

Have Panasonic Viera TV TX-L32D26B with built in Freeview. We are tuned to Wenvoe transmitter. Following retuning on Jan 23rd we seem to have lost ARQB Ch 39 with Film4, Yesterday,ITV4 etc but I read that Wenvoe should still be transmitting Ch39 multiplex. Have tried retuning set several times using auto and manual retuning. Have also tried factory reset but still no joy. Any advice welcome!

Martin Blamey: If you are using a communal aerial system then it might need adjustment due to the new channel coming into service, this being if it is filtered.

Martin Blamey: In addition to that said, its most likely the case that the signal is actually still there but is now sitting just under the level necessary to resolve a picture, you can check this by going into the TV's DVB tuning menu / "manual tune" then enter Ch39 but do NOT press search, because if the signal is still there its strength and quality will immediately be indicated.

Make a note what the indications are then change Ch39 to Ch42 and see what it comes up as being likewise noting the result, then change Ch42 to Ch45 and making a note of that also, as these sets of readings correspond to Wenvoe's three commercial multiplexes operating on 50Kw, the PSB's being on 100Kw.
