Freesat - new video advert
Freesat's Will Abbott (marketing and communications director) says "We set out to create a distinctive campaign that would both grab attention in a crowded market and explain the benefits
"By showcasing our new guide we wanted to challenge the assumption amongst some pay TV customers that choosing a free TV service means compromising on a brilliant TV experience."

Well, I think it's great. The only channels I'd want are Yesterday and Dave and as most of that output is not HD anyway it's no loss. Most importantly, I don't have to lose time off my lifespan talking to a Sky call centre. Occasionally, I do look at the Sky channels line-up and think "nope, nope, nope..."

There are not many you View boxes about. Humax DTR T1000 is one costs about £279. BT & Talk Talk are offering them "free". Terms and conditions apply of course I imagine.

George Buchanan: after seeing the new advert for freesat, i was tempted to never use freesat ever again, who ever the woman in the advert is made me feel sick, the is the most ugly things i have ever seen, not a very nice thing to watch when advertising a service, have they put someone like that in the advert to put people off wanting to use freesat,i think i will just use freeview from now on, pity the advert is on freeview also i have now started to flick to another channel when the adverts come on
