northampton BC told me to buy a FREESAT Box as i was not getting the full FREEVIEW service from the communal aerial on top of my block of flats.Having my new FREESAT box installed/connected to the dish is not part of the licence fee deal or my tenancy terms,so i have a freeview t.v facing the wrong transmiter
giving me 16 chanels and a box that can receive ALL the channels not allowed to be connected!
Since the changeover last year in my area i have spent £198 pounds on equipment that serves me no more than my old analogue radio still does!FREEVIEW:FREESAT call it what you like,i get repeats 24/7 and i don't even GET THE FULL SERVICE

michael o,neill: The best course of action would have been to ask the landlord or building management company responsible for the communal aerial if it was possible for the aerial to be changed to Sandy Heath in order to receive the missing three COM muxes. As this is an issue affecting all the tenants, if they are using Freeview they would welcome such a change. Regarding the Freesat box, as a connection to a dish was required there should be clear indication in your tenancy agreement if a satellite connection is provided through the communal aerial and if an additional charge is made to make use of it.
