william walsh: The channels broadcast by the Castleberg transmitter are available to the rest of Northern Ireland.

The channels that aren't available from the Castleberg transmitter are the Commercial ones and these aren't broadcast from any small transmitters because the operators don't consider it worth their while. They aren't ever likely to increase their coverage and particularly so for a transmitting station which serves only 1,200 homes.

NOLEEN LOGUE:

Without a full postcode we can't be absolutely certain which transmitter(s) you can/may receive. If it is Castlederg, then there are no fault reports except there's been a lot of "Tropospheric Ducting" around causing interference, see Effect of tropospheric ducting on Freeview | RTIS for a simplistic explanation.
The BBC have also been reporting this several times on and off for your transmitter.
It may continue on and off for a day or two more.

N Logue:

Can't find any faults listed at present and it isn't listed for Planned Engineering either BUT as it's a relay of Limavady which is currently listed for Planned Engineering, I'm wondering if this is the possible cause.
