Broneirion transmitter is reporting no faults but our TV signal is non-existant on 2 different aerials. Could you please investigate ?

I have just looked at another page on this website and it is indicating that the Broneirion transmitter is Off Air. Why then does this page say that there is no problem ? Why does it not indicate what the problem is and when it is anticioated to be resolved ?

Jenny Milborrow: This page does not say that there is no problem; it states that the BBC and Digital UK have not reported a problem.

There is a link "Click to recheck" which goes to this page:

Radio & Television Service

On there it says off air from 14:08 today.

This website is independent of the broadcasters. The information it gives is taken from official sources.

It works by checking these sources. Only at the time it checks will it ever be updated. That is, it 'looks' at these sources. There are over 1,000 transmitters in the UK so that is a lot of automatic checking. The more often it does this the more load it puts on the server and the more likely those running the websites that it is checking are to block such access.

Hence it may take some time for the information on here to be updated which is why the "Click to recheck" link is provided.

The page which stated that Broneirion was off air was radioandtvhelp.co.uk and I accessed the page through this website (don't know how now but I looked it up in my history !) and it says that Broneirion was off air from 14.08 until 15.16 yesterday

Jenny Milborrow: That was the page I directed you to. As I say, this site gets its information from an official such as Radio & TV Help (not sure exactly where). But the point is that it is only when this site 'checks' that it will ever update and so it is not the case the official sources are proactive in notifying this site.

It would be impractical for this site to continually 'check' the status of every transmitter every minute.

I receive the Freeview signal from Broneirion Transmitter. I cannot receive the TV programmes on waveband channel 23. Waveband channels 26 and 29 are OK. The signal was lost around 9.45 am.
