The person concerned was unaware that the regions could be selected after the scan. The Humax had selected a stronger Wales Mux instead of England at that time and moved their preferred channels up in 800s.
They wanted to know how to do a manual tune
to get their channels back.
I was just advising John what to do.
Hope this helps.

Briantist: All went OK after Frequency change-over. Manually re-tuned Panasonic 26 inch & Humax HD box in the early hours, main TV, 40 inch Toshiba had updated itself by the time I got up this morning! Finding 39 more stable than 49 at the Mo, Quality figure now 85 instead of 60. It could all change when the snow goes away!!

How nice to be able to receive Radio Wales on Dab today now that the Rhymney Dab Transmitter was off air!!!
Managed to receive it on 12A 223.936MHz , 12C 227.360MHz 7 12D 229.072MHz.
Why do we need Rhymney at such a high level (1KW) that it is blocking reception of other Transmitter masts in the South Wales Area?
The Ebbw Vale Transmitter at hilltop comes in a perfectly error-free signal in this area but is blocked when the Rhymney TX is on.
Obviously the correct reception tests have not been done.
Rhymney Dab TX completely desenses the front end of receivers in this area that they cannot receive anything else!!!
Recommend that power should be reduced to 20 Watts ERP.
1KW from this TX is not needed due to enough signal from the Ebbw Vale TX for this area.

Johnpaul: Just had a look at the mast, visible from where I live, can't see any lights on up there.
Must be power up there as the Orange & other phone networks etc. are on.
Televison signal went off and on a couple of times last night.

Hi Johnpaul:
A lot of neighbours and family have been in touch with me
about this today, as they only have the Freeview signal from the Rhymney TX
no Freesat or Sky etc.
There are a lot of Relay TXs down today!!
Look at the right-hand side bar on this page.
I can see the mast from where I am but cannot see any signs of life up there.
Normally when they are working up there they have lights on etc.
All the very best.
