How do I change the RF output channel on a Sky Digibox?
Press the [SERVICES] button and then press [4] [0] [1] then [SELECT]
Then press [4] to go to the RF output menu.
You can now change the value so that it does not clash with an analogue TV channel or a Freeview multiplex.
HD and "new EPG" boxes
If you have a HD box, press [SERVICES] button and then press [0] [0] [1] then [SELECT]. Nothing is shown on the TV screen until you press the Select button. Then use the [RIGHT] arrow button on the remote until this screen is shown, and press SELECT to change the values:

Phil Hudson: This would suggest that the video sender is not working.

jas: the obvious next step is to plug the magic eye direcly into the Sky box and see if the remote operates then (making sure it isn't pointing at the front of the box too).

we currently have sky, with a dish that has 4-connections, 2 used by sky, and 2 spare, i have tried to connect one of the spare connections to a freesat box but it says that there is no signal, is it because i have combined original aerial connections to join the aerial cables (still using the new connections for the dish and the freesat box), or is there a problem at the dish end, or perhaps i havent connected the new connectors correctly any ideas

lesley: It would have been better if you had tried each spare in turn, as its very unlikely that both outputs would be defective as they are completely individual to each other.
The point is that the lead from the dish LNB should not be coupled into anything, but go straight from the dish to the Freesat boxes aerial input.

I have a shiny new tv with built in HD freeview but I don't have an external arial to utilise it with.
I do have an out of contract sky box that I use to currently receive channels. Is it possible to change the connection on my Sky box and plug it straight into the arial socket on the tv to use the freeview?
Hope that makes sense!!

Madman: No! as you are dealing with two technically different operating systems with no real link between them.

The rf outlet is on and the red light on the magic eye is on. The problem is the tv in the bedroom will not find th rf outlet channel. Thanks in advance for any help.

Carrie: You must tune the TV set in "analogue" mode, the output from the Sky RF socket is not digital.

I'm trying to get a signal to second tv in bedroom from a Sky+ HD box. I've connected a coax cable from the RF2 outlet on the back of the sky+ HD box and plugged the other end into the bedroom TV (RF/coax antenna). Bedroom TV gives a message "no signal" when I try to tune it. I've been into the installer/engineer menu in the Sky+HD box (the output chnnael is set to 68 and the power is on). Is there anything else that needs "switched on"? Is the RF2 outlet always "live"? Or could it simply be a dodgy coax cable - the run is approx ten metres and I fittde the plugs? The TV is working fine via alternative aerial input?

Ian - did you see Brian's post before yours?
Are you sure your remote TV is set to ANALOGUE 68 ?
And that there is no conflicting 68 where you are?
