How can I get Italian satellite channels in the UK?
Brian Butterworth published on UK Free TV You will need a dish pointed at the Hot Bird 6/7A/8 at 13.0°E satellite to get:

Thanks for your respone, this is what I ended up doing using Samsung Smart TV.
Set up Hotbird 13E
Settings:
Transponder: 10719 mhz 27500 V
LNB set 4/4
Subsequently did a manual channel search to get Mediaset Channels however the frequency, simbol rate and polarity combination are not there on the predefined.
So create "New"
Set Frequency to 10919 mhz , simbol rate 29900, Polarity set to V
Scan and you get the Mediaset channels as well.
Now my Tivusat card is showing as not active so I am liaising with customer service to get it reactivated...getting there. Thank you all for your help

Andrea : looking hopeful now! You evidently understand the technicalities, so should be able to get
things working. I hope Tivu will now activate your card. It should be automatic, but as Tivu is intended to be available to codice addresses in Italy, they may hesitate if they know where you are. Keep us posted!

Call the uk company TPS.they sell boxes for all European countries and you can watch french, Italians etc channel in the uk legally depending on withheld box you buy.so go to TPS.hope it helps

Fabien: How do they circumvent the legal domicile requirement? We should have free access to goods and services within the EU, but this remains an undefined exception, strangely subordinate to local rights and contracts.

I've just had a dish and Focus at installed so I can get Italian Tv for my mother but I'm having a problem registering the tivusat card.
I've got a fiscal code but no Italian address.
Can it not be registered with a UK address?

My Loewe tv developed a fault and it's going to cost too much to repair , so I am going to buy a new Tv. I have been receiving free to air foreign channels through Hotbird.
With my TV broken I borrowed my daughter's tv but although it has built in Freesat I cannot tune the Tv to get Hotbird.
My question is what specifications should I look for in a Tv to get Hotbird. Does the Tv have to have an additional satellite tuner.? Thanks
