Ronald Oseland:
Well Barnoldswick is within the coverage area for the Skipton transmitter BUT it will depend on exactly where you are. We need a full postcode to look at the Predicted reception.
Skipton is a relay of the Emley Moor transmitter and there has been major work at Emley scheduled from the 4/12/20 so it's quite probable this will have affected your transmitter and reception. To provide any further assistance we'd also need some more detail about your reception problems.

Hi.
I live in Skipton (BD231HH)
When are we going to get the full Freeview, instead of Freeview light which has a pathetic amount of channels?
Thanks.
Andy.

Andrew McIntyre: Neither the Skipton or Skipton Town transmitters (both are predicted to serve your postcode) are ever likely to be upgraded as both serve only a few thousand homes, so the commercial broadcasters didn't think it was worth the cost of providing additional channels/multiplexes to a low number of potential viewers.
You may be able to get a signal from the Winter Hill transmitter, which would give you the main COM4/5/6 commercial multiplexes, however you would then receive the BBC1 North West & ITV Granada regions rather than Yorkshire. This would require a new aerial pointed in a different direction and may result in a weaker signal than you have now on some channels. Alternatively, look at getting Freesat.
