I'm in Falmouth and pick up a signal from Redruth at the back of my house and Caradon in the front. Today I noticed that Film 4 was missing on the channel list from the Redruth transmitter, so retuned my Humax PVR and now I have NO commercial channels at all. Caradon is perfect. Can someone tell me what is going on please.

Arnold Mooney: There have been no changes to the transmitters, so I would have a look at Freeview reception has changed? | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice .

My televisions have started cutting out (sound & picture) and showing a 'No signal' message; this is happening to my neighbour too. Is there a problem with the transmitter

The Redruth transmitter has been playing up all afternoon with constant drop-outs. They used to pop up an apology for the disruption to service in the old days - is this beyond today's technology or what? If it wasn't for the fact I'm having problems on two different sets with two different aerials I'd likely have called out an engineer by now.

Bob Hayes: Any transmitter problems are reported online. It is not technically possible to "pop up an apology".

thanks for this, I thought that might be the case, but where should I look for this online? When I Google it I get this web site as the top option but I can't find any problems reported for this afternoon so I must be looking in the wrong place.

Bob Hayes: Yes, the only issue reported was "REDRUTH transmitter - Freeview BBC Digital TV Weak Signal from 09:10 today to 11:04 today [BBC]".
If you put your postcode into the box at the top right, there will be a box shown that has links to the various places to look.
