Will Peterhead be able to receive Durris when full power is switched on in June 2011?

Peterhead

Around 4 weeks ago our Freeview signal for CH50 BBC channels went dead for a few hours. Since it has returned we have only 50% signal strength. The other channels on CH62 remained at full strength and continue to be. My postcode is AB421LA, my aerial is outside on roof....because of the drop in signal strength we get constant drops in sound and boxes appear but only on the BBC channels.

Matt Barrie: There is engineering work currently taking place at the transmitter, it will be switched back on when the work is completed, usually by early evening. Do not attempt to retune.

No nformation about how to change the "interactive " map, or the information is not clear. Only an area in Scotland shown. If available and free, the info and instructions are very unclear. If you charge for the information you shoul have stated so earlier.

peter:

You don't explain "how" you want to change the interactive map but I can give you a couple of bits of information.

Firstly, the site owner is the only one who can make changes to any of these things, and he hasn't had time to do all the many updates to transmitter pages that have resulted from the 700MHz Clearance program. So any changes to mapping are likely to take second place if/when he finds time. I do know that some radiation patterns - usually for Local multiplex coverage were updated when they changed but maybe not all of them.
Secondly there was a change to some Google mapping api's and Google started either charging for what had previously been free or increased the price to a point the owner decided it was not affordable.
This is a free (technical help) website provided by the owner and there is no charge for any of the information that is on it.
With regard specifically to mapping, if you have "Pro mode" enabled, you can zoom in to a certain point and show the coverage in more detail. Coverage maps for most of the FM/DAB pages don't work.

For what might (note - might) be more reliable Freeview coverage predictions in some instances, it's always a good idea to check the Freeview Detailed Coverage Checker.

peter: If you are referring to the transmitter map at the top of the page, clicking the Enable Pro Mode button below the map allows you to drag the map around and zoom in/out. This independent technical help website is funded by advertising, there is no charge to access anything.

Garry Stephen: Me and Chris.SE already explained in reply to your comment on the Durris page, it's down to the Peterhead transmitter only covering a relatively small population so it isn't viable for the commercial broadcasters who would have to pay for it.
