Hi Briantist,
The full postcode is RG22 4DJ.
As for single frequency interference, I have no other equipment attached by or using RF, so it can't be that (i guess - unless wi-fi, wireless phones etc have an effect?). I have no idea if a wideband aerial is fitted or needed so not sure about that one. Seems weird that I used to get the channels though...!

Steve: Yes, wifi and DUCT phones can interfere with Freeview reception. See Freeview reception has changed? | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice .

I have had problems in your road with reception. Whilst a loft aerial in normally sufficient in Brighton Hill, it seems that Handel Close experiences intermittent interference. By fitting an decent wideband external aerial your problems should be minimised. The interference could come from masts at Brighton Hill school or, less likely, Asda. Also check your aerial it pointing towards Hannington and not London.

Thanks for the comments TVTuner. Very frustrating it is! Being in a rented house makes me reluctant to do much about the aerial. There is however a Sky dish on the house, so may look at getting freesat or freesat from Sky...

That is very cheap!
A friend has passed on to me his sky digibox. Reception is fine, so I now know the dish is properly set up. The lack of channel 5 is annoying though (I have added it to the extra channels section, but no EPG is a pain).
So I have a choice of no Mux A channels, or no 5* 5USA etc...!!
Maybe I should get a viewing card from Sky?
What are peoples thoughts?
Stick with Sky and put up with it, buy a viewing card, buy a freesat box...???

I have lost analogue BBC1 ch39 from Hannington recently. All the others: BBC2, ITV and CH4 come through perfectly. I have no modulators or VHS machines modulating signals to cause interference.

Steve: "Dave" (along with "Yesterday" and "Really") are subscription channels on satellite, you have to pay to view them on satellite.
